Job Description
The Graduate Assistant - Non- Teaching will assist our IT Support team. This position offers technical training and a variety of opportunities to gain valuable work experience in a friendly, professional atmosphere. Successful candidates will have to have a passion for helping others and value learning & technology. Candidate must have excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide first tier support for user problems relating to hardware and software issues.
• Diagnose and repair reported problems, which includes documentation of all pertinent end-user information and of the nature of the problem.
• Follow-up on unresolved issues and projects.
• Test fixes to ensure problems have been resolved.
• Assist with internal physical moves of PCs, telephones, etc.
• Prepares and maintains system documentation and operating procedures.
• Complete special projects as requested by supervisor.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in an applicable field.
• Must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at Prairie View A&M University. (Minimum of 9 credit hours during the regular fall and spring semesters and 6 semester credit hours for the summer semester)
  
• Must be in good academic standing.
  
• No prior work experience required.
