Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Outreach Programs and Special Projects, the Assistant Director, Recent Graduate and Student Engagement creates, oversees and directs all recent graduate alumni and student engagement, initiatives and programming sponsored by the Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving. This includes advising the recent graduate and student volunteer groups, developing and coordinating signature recent graduate and student events, and collaborating across the campus with key schools, colleges, departments and student organizations. The Assistant Director will work directly with the Philanthropic Engagement team on strategies and campaigns that will increase recent graduate and student giving.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and evaluate a recent graduate engagement program designed to provide significant opportunities for graduates of the last decade to remain involved and engaged with Syracuse University. This includes developing in-person and virtual programming, resources and targeted communications offered throughout the year.
- Develop, implement and evaluate a student engagement program designed to educate current students about the importance of involvement and subsequent support/giving back to Syracuse University. This includes creating on-campus programming and targeted communications throughout the year to build awareness of the Syracuse University Alumni Association.
- Create partnerships with established student organizations and university departments to engage a wide and diverse audience of students with a special emphasis on first-year students and seniors/graduating students.
- Serve as the advisor for the Forever Orange Student Alumni Council and the Generation Orange Leadership Council.
- Oversee the annual recruitment process for both groups, manage the logistics for in-person and virtual meetings, and create/develop a robust onboarding and ongoing training program for new volunteers. Partner with the Assistant Director of Next Generation and Affinity Giving to build out philanthropic goals and programming for both volunteer groups.
- Develop cross-campus collaboration strategies to enhance recent graduate and student involvement and participation.
- Work directly with Philanthropic Engagement to develop and implement new and creative strategies to increase recent graduate and student giving.
- Other duties as assigned.
