Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is currently accepting applications for the Director of the Hazen Center for Integrated Care. This position reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs and provides strategic oversight of student health and well-being services. This role leads the Student Health Center, Counseling Center, and Health Promotion and Prevention Education, fostering a campus environment that prioritizes student success through holistic framework. The Director develops strategies for high-quality, accessible services for a diverse student body, implementing a holistic approach to address health matters affecting students' academic, career, and personal goals. Responsibilities include overseeing medical care, supervising clinical practitioners, coordinating clinic operations, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, SUNY, and institutional health regulations. As a key member of the division leadership team, the Director contributes to policies and programs promoting student health and well-being, collaborating with campus units to address complex health issues, including mental health concerns. This role aligns services with the institution's commitment to inclusivity and equity, working to enhance overall student success.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education recognized accrediting organization.
  • Valid NY state license to practice as a nurse practitioner (adult or family), physician assistant, physician, or registered nurse.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience, including supervision of professional staff.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
  • Experienced technology user including enterprise level and desktop tools deployed to improve services.
  • Strong personnel management skills including strategic planning, the ability to manage multiple functions, and organize institution resources to meet goals and objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, statutes, campus processes, and awareness of law and policy proposals affecting student health, wellness and prevention.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a higher education setting.
  • Experience developing, organizing and administering budgets.
  • Experience in mental health care.
  • Experience with collective bargaining and union contract administration.
  • Experience with electronic medical records.

Work Schedule: Typically Monday - Friday occasional evenings and weekends
Salary and Benefits: The minimum salary for this role is $125,100.
