Description of Work Unit
The Student Resolution Center (SRC) supports the developmental, behavioral, and educational needs of students. Through a myriad of approaches, the SRC strives to maximize individual student success while upholding community standards and helping students overcome mistakes. SRC aims to assist, educate and support CSU students through two processes:
Conflict Resolution Services - voluntary, neutral, confidential processes to assist students when conflicts, disputes, or issues arise. Programs and services include Conflict Coaching, Restorative Justice, Mediation, process consultation, and training.
Student Conduct Services - one-on-one meetings to discuss alleged violations of the Student Conduct Code, hear perspectives, explore personal responsibility, hold students accountable, and provide educational and restorative outcomes when appropriate.

Position Summary
The Executive Director of the Student Resolution Center reports directly to the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs/Dean of Students. This position is responsible for overseeing the university's student conduct process and a myriad of conflict resolution processes, focusing on student success and retention.
The Executive Director oversees the overall vision, strategic planning, supervision, budget, and assessment of Student Conduct Services and Conflict Resolution Services. The Executive Director is the head of the SRC leadership team comprised of the most senior members of each functional area of the department.
The Executive Director is responsible for ensuring the student conduct process complies with state and federal laws and regulations. They serve as the custodian of all student conduct records. They are responsible for the content and administration of the university's Student Conduct Code and serve as the university's most senior Hearing Officer for all students (undergraduate and graduate, residential and online).
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall development and implementation of Conflict Resolution Services initiatives and educational programs, including Restorative Justice, Conflict Coaching, Mediation, and training.
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall development and implementation of all assessment initiatives focusing on student success and retention. They manage crisis situations related to students, advocate for student interests, promote fundamental fairness, encourage student development, and represent the Division and/or University at on and off-campus events. The Executive Director is responsible for creating strategic partnerships with university and community stakeholders to accomplish the department's overall mission.
